Blow Off Valve?
Hey guys we have had a mean cold streak up here. and recently ive noticed my truck has been making a very loud sound when i take my foot off the gas(diesel) that the only way i can describe it is a more deep toned blow off valve sound (as in off a rice rocket). and i have never noticed it before... and i have no idea if its related or just the stations switching to winter diesel but my fuel mileage has gone from 750ish KM to just over 400... any ideas or tips would be great!

Cold weather affects fuel mileage noticeably. I picked up one full mpg today over two days ago when it was -20 compared to 0 today. (According to the lie-o-meter)
Not sure about that sound though...it's not just turbo fart is it? These things don't have a wastegate or a throttle plate to back pressure up...not sure. I guess this is a bump to the top more than anything, I'm no help...
