small oil leak from rear of motor injector 6&7 out. can the stock studs be replaced withe arp studs without removing the heads if the head gaskets are not blown ? where in texas can i find a tech to bullet proof my truck if a tuner deletes an egr valve should it still need an egr delete kit
I don't know how to send a pm any advice would be helpful
Click on the user control panel link in the blue bar above the thread and look for the send message link down the left side. It's basically like sending an email. Type in the user name (Cheezit), subject, type the message and click send.
This is just my .02. If I lived in Texas, I'd make it over to Cheezit's shop. I think he is reasonably close to Dallas. I've read threads on here about leaving the original gaskets in place and the consensus was not to do it - it is a lot of work to get to the heads - why risk it over a relatively cheap part.
On the PM subject, I'm not sure you can do it until you have 25 posts. This drove me crazy for a while. Can't add a signature either.
Another thing - I am no expert, but I doubt the oil leak is from head gaskets. Check some of the threads on oil leaks - they are very common on these engines and there are a number of possibilities that are usually hard to diagnose without really cleaning the engine and maybe even putting dye in the oil. Hopefully one of the techs will weigh in
