maybe you can help
ok i have a 2000 f350 dually 7.3 powerstroke it has 101 thousand miles i just bought this truck and it was really hard to start and it smoked like a freight train welll i took it home checked the oil it was extremely low so i changed the oil and filter and plugged it up well it started fine after that so maybe gpr or glow plugs possibley havent got that far but anyways i noticed oil leaking so i looked under the truck and finally noticed the intercooler had a crack in it with oil coming out so i took the turbo house off and alot of oil so i bought a complete rebuild kit well there was no oil in the exaust pipe so can the oil leaking in the inner cooler make it smoke out the exaust it smokes all the time unless you run i on the highway for about 15 mins then clears up but then smokes again if idles for a lil while
There will be some oil in the turbo compressor housing and builtup in the intercooler from the crankcase vent anyways, but if the seals are gone on the comp housing then yes it will leak enough into the intake and make a good bit of smoke come out of the exhaust.
