Need help
Iv got a 96 bought it in real bad shape working on fixing it up iv replaced the glow plug relay 4 driver side glow plugs done the 6637 mod ccv mod and fuel filter change and oil change.
i bought the truck and it had power. not what it should but had some now it has none idles rough will not start cold! and when it reves it sounds like theres a miss and has pufs of smoke .
im thinking bad injector but not sure any ideas thanks for anything im new to diesels dont know much

How many miles? I would also look at the UVCH and UVC gaskets. It could also be injectors depending on how many miles the truck has on it and if those are factory injectors that have worn out. When you say it puffs smoke, are we talking white smoke, blue smoke...? Does it cold start when its been plugged in?

Under valve cover harness its part of the valve cover gaskets and the wires that power the injectors and GP's its possible while you were doing the driver side GP's you could have accidentally caused it to come unplugged and now have a dead bank
