HAS ANYONE PUT 73-79 BED SIDES ON AN 80-96 BED?

I've never seen the bed bolt holes match exactly perfect, as they were punched depending on what model they were going on at the time of manufacture. But most are really close. Brand new replacement bed floors came with no holes and you had to drill your own because of this, etc...

Filling and moving those floor holes are pretty easy for a good welder though.

I don't have a problem doing the work - just was excited thinking I wouldn't have to at 1st and now disappointed I was mislead...
