I have a 6.0 2007 f250 that is leaking oil. It looks like it's coming from the top of the motor running down on the passenger side on the back of the motor. Not sure what it could be this is my first diesel i have only had it for 6 months.
How much oil is leaking? Can you clean it up and keep a closer eye on it to help troubleshoot? There are a number of leak points w/ the 6.0's - there is a thread on this in the Tech folder. Sounds like it might be a leaking turbo oil supply line or maybe more frequent, it is oil leaking from the CAC boots (charge air cooler boots). This would be due to oil from the crankcase ventilation being introduced into the turbo inlet tubing.
I had my 2006 F350 at the dealership last week for a couple days over an oil leak, they thought and looked as if it was the rear main seal leaking, but turned out to be the defective o-ring on the crank sensor.
