If you plan on towing get compounds. They rock!!!

I'll one up you. Eventually I want compounds being fed by a procharger

Marty sent his PMR's packing quite some time ago his PMR's lasted about a second after he switched from modified stock to 120.

How about triples fed by a procharger with a 12 cylinder inline p-pump? LOL

I'm running ~450/1000 on my stock PMR motor. Been running it well over a year now at that level. I have about $5k in mods...

easier to have a donor truck.. Cheaper to buy a pulled engine. Check out cumminsforum.com and compd for engines. There are a few engines on CF right now..

I would recommend R&L carriers if you need to ship something big.. thats what I use alot.

i would stay with the 7.3 just because i can stand a Cummings. and to me the life of a 7.3 is a lot better than v24, just my 2 cents.

correct if we are talking about the same Marty...

quote from his post not long ago

115.76 @ 7400 lbs = ~770 rwhp. Single stage.

Bone stock 97 bottom end. heads never pulled off

his fuel only .

7400 lbs @ 110.54 = ~ 678 rwhp as daily driven for about a year and a half, after spending a full year at ~467-491 dynoed HP on DP Tuning. Oh yeah, after it spent ~100k miles sitting stock in an OBS CCLB Dually. If I recall correctly, I have 15 or so 11 second passes and at least 30, probably closer to 50, 12 second passes.

Im sure it is I know of only one Marty who is making 11 second passes in a 7.3.

I just wanted the other guy to know that PMR's were not gonna last at 800HP.

This is the little piece of advice Marty told me a few years ago before I blew my PMR's.

"If I were to do it again... I would have pulled my PMR motor, and put aftermarket rods in it. While I was in it, take the money I had saved up and had the motor honed, and a few other things needed for the girdle and mainstud kit, and instead of going for 500 rwhp on fuel - went for 600+ on nitrous."

I know and what I showed is he id doing this on a stock motor other then fuel mods,a little spray, turbo and injectors...if he did the bottom end,a cam and head work he would be even better...as it stand right now he is giving the 1000 HP Cummins a run for there money...its all in the tuning and the single shot sticks now a day's,,there are quite a few guy's makeing very close to 600HP on a stock motor now...
