i am currently building a 400m that we currently refer to as the "monster" but anyway i had my new water pump sitting on the bench transfered the bolts as i took them out into the new pump for a reference as i knew they were different and wouldnt you no it here comes the basketball the kids were playing with in the driveway and smaked the new pump on to the floor and bolt went everywhere and i havent the slightest clue were the go can any one please help me and i have been looking for arp bolts but cn not find them
So are you looking for your bolts, for aftermarket bolts, or just want to know which ones go where???
If youre just wondering where they go, its not that hard to find out with a little trial and error... they should all thread in 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch so stick the pump on the frond of the motor and put all the bolts in loosely, and rearrange them all till they all stick out about 1/2 -3/4 of and inch and gtg...
Or lay the pump on the bench and stick the bolts all the way thru the holes and see which ones have 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of thread protruding and sort them out from there
i tried the bench idea it seems as though the bolt at the very top and the bottom were they just thread threw the cover are way to long i found all the bolts are damn near the same length 8 2inch bolts and 2 3.5 inch bolts makes no sense i would love to get a set of new bolts that are supposed to be there got the arp head bolts intake bolts and oil pan bolts and valve cover stud kit why can i not find a set of water pump/timming cover bolts
I picked up the ARP kit for the 351C and most of the stuff fit on my 400. The water pump bolts, timing cover, and oil pan bolts worked. Intake bolts didn't work on it though, and I haven't tried the exhaust ones.
