got a long term build question. i am look for a 500 RWHP daily driver and am woundering if i should build up the 7.3 thats already in the truck or put a cummins in it. i know both are going to cost a good chunk of change. but i thinking a 500 hp cummins will be easer and cheper to build just wounder what everyone else thinks.
The cummins is a good engine I use to own one (some years are better than others) you will spend a big chunk of change just to get that engine in that truck before you even start to build it. I know you can get 500hp out of the cummins but I am not very familier with the 7.3 and hp#'s you may want to post on the 7.3 forum. What ever you decide it sound fun.
it would be cheaper and less of a headache to build the 7.3... studs, beef up the block avoid pmrs, up grade the hpoil larger turbo and injectors and your there.... sounds easy right? might also build the tranny while your playing
