302 in a highboy?

351 Cleveland

What did u use for transmission with 302. I currently have a big block c6 but will not work with Cleveland was wonder what I could u to work with divorced transfer case

Me? I just reused the np435 transmission. Same bellhousing bolt pattern for 300 6 and small block windsors.

Anything is possible, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea. bang for your buck a 390 is the best engine for a pickup that most often had a 360.

An Explorer 302 can make 350hp with just a cam and exhaust change which I would say will be more that adequate. And they can be had cheap as well. I'd also go with a 302 WAY before a 351m/400.

With good heads (GT40 or better) a 302 can certainly make horsepower, but a 400 will make more torque and at a lower RPM.
