Front Console/Seat

Has anyone replaced the console lid on their front seat. My front seat can accommodate three. The middle seat back folds down into a small console or if it is raised upright the console becomes a third seat. I wish to replace the lid only. The price I got from edpartsguy was $500.00 and I have been unable to find one in a salvage yard.

I'll bet a GOOD upholstery person/shop can replace/recover your old one ALOT cheaper than that, and may be even make it custom-looking too!!-if you DON'T have someone like that near you, I DO so you could send me yours and I'll have my guy do it for you.

I had not thought of that -thanks I got to believe there is some option of a new lid as I am surely not the only person that has had one wear out and Ford sells several other console lids at a much more reasonable price.

Sometimes you will find the whole things on Ebay for a good price. I would even call some salvage yards to see if they have one. Here is a guy you can try, his name is Mike, and his number is 727-688-6453. He is in Clearwater, Fl. He buys wrecked Super Duty's from the insurance companies, fixes some, and parts out others, he may have it. Good luck.
