Lift kit question?

I'm a new owner of an '05 PSD Ex and wondering how I can safely and inexpensively lift my Ex say 3-4"? My running boards sit fairly low so I would like to increase the overall clearance. Will a lift of 3-4" affect my 19 mpg highway mileage or cause any premature frontend wear issues? Thanks for your response or for pointing me in the right direction....Graham.

you can get that by adding a 2.5" rough country leveling kit for an F350 to the front.....and 2" add aleaf to the rear with a 1/2 added " spacer to sit level
If you are not looking for that much.......go with 1.5" add a leaf front....and 1" rear....kep in mind you are likely sagged at least an inch...here is what mine looks like
