Searched the site and didn't see anywhere else to ask this, so, I'll ask here.
I recently bought a '79 F250 Supercab 4x4. It has a 460, C6, 205 combo along with the Dana 60 front axle and rides on 37's. The body's in pretty decent shape with no major rust or body damage. The interior is kinda rough.
I have a buddy who is possibly interested in it, but I'm not sure what the going rate is for these. He know's what I paid for it, but I've put a bit of work into it since buying it. I swapped in the C6 in place of a shot 4spd, put the 37's on it and misc. other stuff.
So what's it worth otherwise? If I was to put it up for sale, what would you guys ask? I don't want to screw my buddy or myself by asking too much. After all, I could have way too much into it already, but I doubt it.
Pics would help...your definition of a decent or good truck could vary wildly from mine. So best middle gorund would probably be somewhere between $2500-5000.

No kidding. I've seen total rust buckets listed for $3000. Just because it runs doesn't make it golden.

Yeah...not to mention that location plays a huuuuuge part as well. What might be a $2,000 truck in my neck of the woods might be a $5,000 truck up north.
We don't fight the rust here in Ks like you guys up north so maybe there is more of them around here. I have 2 dozen 78-79's and I've never seen a rusty frame. Only rust I ever see is just above rear wheels.
