IPR bad?

Hi guys,

I had a bad intermittent surge of RPM's last night and seem to think that my IPR is bad. Does anyone have a way to test it and also the part number incase I need to order one from Ed?

Thanks for the help
Joe

The only way I know to test it is w/ diagnostic equipment.

Did you replace the oil cooler recently (I can't recall)?

No oil cooler replacement for me. The erratic idle is making me wonder if it is the IPR....fuel pressure is 69ish

I think I made a mistake.....I believe I was referring to the ICP......not sure if that is what you all thought I meant?

ICP makes more sense, but IPR's have been known to fail also - just less often (unless the high pressure oil system has been opened up and not thoroughly cleaned).
