Unhappy FICM Maybe?

Hi all, I sure hope somebody on here is really good with these 6.0's... 05 with 73,000 miles died on the way home from work yesterday. Just shut off and i coasted to the side of the road. Would only crank and not even try to fire.

Truck has Edge juice with attitude, banks high ram intake, sinister egr delete, mbrp 5" turbo back, and coolant filter mods.

I figured FICM after i pulled the codes and got U0105 and U0155. Checked all the wiring harness that I could see for the chafing issue and everything looked good. I did have it completely out about 4 months ago when i replaced the oil cooler and didn't see anything then.
The truck died while driving about 3 weeks ago and restarted after about 5 minutes.
This time it would not restart at all, just like you shut the key off.
Had it towed to the house(thanks aaa) and looked up how to check the FICM in the tech folder.
Have 48 volts plus in all 3 checks....so i was confused.
Tried pulling the edge...didnt change anything.

Called Johnathan at Swamps Diesel Performance and tugged on his ear for a while. He said it could still be the FICM and to check the icp reading which i dont have a reader to do. The recal was done for the hpop hot start issue.

Not sure what to do...should i send out the FICM and have it upgraded to the 58 volt setup and try it...or do i pay for another tow to a local place and have it checked on a good scanner? Not sure of a good place near Bethlehem, PA. Havent had much luck with local dealers..Faulkner in Quakertown was ok, but would almost rather take it to a private shop.

Please advise all you smart diesel gods and dispence some wisdom to lowly me with a truck that just cranks and cranks...I will try to answer any and all questions that i can. At this point i am pretty disgusted and aggrivated and would probabaly take it anywhere to have it checked and tuned properly for the mods I've done. Please help!! Thanks!!

Sounds to me like u have lost icp.
Maybe pump failure or a high pressure leak somewhere. Most of the time when a FICM fails it sets fault codes for most of the injectors. I would start with checking ICP for sure.

You are thinking HPOP even with the U0105 code? I just had it all apart to do an oil cooler replacement about 2 months ago.....it's one thing after another with this truck.

U codes

Have you had the battery disconnected recently? Reflash on the PCM? Most all the time the U codes are erroneous. But that doesnt mean that is the problem. Sometimes these U codes show up after reflashing of the PCM or new installation of a FICM and sometimes just from unhooking the batteries. Im not sayin to ignore it keep that in the back of your mind. Was the U codes in continuous memory or On demand? Of on demand then u may have somethin there but i would say they are continuous. I would still check for ICP...

On an 05, the stc fitting is usually suspect on a no start. You do need some gauges and a code reader however. Guessing can be expensive.

Welcome to FTE Georgejg13 I would lean toward a blow out in the high pressure oil system. You can unhook the ICP Sensor and it will default if you want to rule that out.
