snow chains/cables

Hey guys, I plan on going skiing this winter as I do every winter. It seems as though the weather is getting worse and worse as far as snowy conditions. I've never had to use snow chains before but am thinking about getting them just as a "just in case" scenario. I have an AWD Explorer, do any of you all have any experience/opinions on which to get? Or is it even worth it since I have an AWD? Thanks for the input.

Cables are much better IMO. Easy to use and easy to get tighter, as for using with AWD not real sure if you need to go with all 4 wheels cabled/chained up. Just remember if you use either you need to watch your speed, usually somewhere around the 30 mph limit.
