I just removed a set of Cooper Discoverer ATR's last fall. They were a load range E tire and they wore like iron. The only downfall I found was that the wet traction was terrible! They had 65000 miles on them when I removed them and still had tread left.
I installed a set of Good Year Wrangler AT/S in a C range. I kept the stock size 18's that were on it just like I did with the Coopers. I will tell you this..... this is one of the best tires I have ever had on a truck! They are quiet on the road, and look great on the truck. The snow traction is outstanding and the wet traction is just as good. In wet grass, they are hard to beat! I also tow heavy every day with this truck and the tires handle the extra weight perfectly. The P series tires that were on it were terrible when towing.
The silent armors have excellent ratings and I have never heard a complaint about them.
I replaced the BFG's that came on my 04 FX4 with Toyo Open country tires 275/65 18's they have white letters and i'm happy with them so far they handled last year's winter snow well $190 each
