im having some troubles with my truck once again. its a 95 f250 its got a 14 inch lift 5.38 gears and 44 swampers. my problem is that if i get on the truck at wot it will go like its suppose to but then it wont shift out of first and will just keep bouncing the rpms and not shift until i let off it then it shifts fine. Other then this the trans is fine just rebuilt recently all fluids were just changed fuel filter everything. if im driving normal not fast or pushing it the trans is fine and shifts perfectly but once i get on it the bouncing comes back until i let off. any help would be appreciated ive been searching for this forever and cant seem to find the answer for my problem. if i missed the thread someone guide me there but ive been trying to find it before i posted up. anyways thanks for any help or suggestions.
heres a pic of it to cause i havent posted here really its my DD. also have some mudding ones to if you want to see them just let me know.
ok somebody else will have to tell you the name of the sensor but I was told that it reads or controls the pressure from the high pressure oil pump it is located on the drivers side valve cover towards the front. One way to check it is to unplug it when the rpms are bouncing and if they even out replace it. it runs about $200 from ford
sorry I could not be more helpful but this may lead you in a direction
jim it is called the ICP sensor, you can unplug it to see if its dead, will force factory calibrations on the pcm to run the truck correctly but it does not sound like he is having injector issues, just tranny shift issues. i think the gears are a smidge tall for it thats all.
its got a triple disk and its also got two big coolers on it already for the trans. and yeah its just tranny issues but only when i open it up so idk other then that it shifts fine so im hoping maybe a sensor just dont know where to start with it and was hoping maybe someone had a idea. The gears are fine as im getting some bigger tires and more lift soon thats why i went so high im gonna be running 53's most likely
