I asked the previous owner who's also the original owner today what he got MPG wise in the f250 460 ford. He said that he got 10-12 mpgs in it? Is it feasible to get 12 mpgs? I get 13.5 in my long bed sc dodge right now. I wasn't aware that they could get that type of mileage. I don't see a reason why he would lie to me as we already made the deal. Anyway just wondering what everyone else is pulling down?
Yeah it seemed too go to be true. I would love if I could get 10 mpgs, is that really feasible though? I don't see why he would lie to me seeing as how I already have the truck and hes sending me extra parts for free?
Yeah I don't really care about trailering much of anything. As it sits it has had a welding plate in the rear, rear toolbox, rear headache rack, and winch bumper and winch. I don't know if he got 10-12 while towing or 10 while towing and 12 unloaded best ever. I really hope it gets 12, however I understand thats a pipe dream so if I get 10 I will be satisfied with everything I gain.
if it make you feel any better my old 89 f250 4x4 was getting 8-10 MPG , but it had a steel flatbed , duals in the rear tool boxes and it weighed in at 11,000 # ! that was 2,000 # more than our C-60 2 ton dump truck !
when he said 10-12 he could have just been estimating i claim my mazda gets mid 30s but ive never really done all the math thats just kinda a ballpark, i know one time i went to go look at a 250 crew cab 460 the thing was a beast and the guy said the same thing 10-12 is it standard or auto?
