Trackbar bolt broke and dealer said they don't have one and if I wanted one I'd have to order a pack of 4 since that's what they come in. Anyone know a better place to get one. Thanks.
Its the bolt that goes through track bar at the frame side. The one you have to torque to 405 ft/lbs.
Find abolt supply shop and get a grade 8 bolt to replace it.Measure the other bolt for the correct length and might want to pull the traction bar down to get the proper bolt,if the bolts are like the ones on the sway bar loinkage they are an odd size.
I was able to find one at the dealer 40 miles away. So I drove there and got one.
On another note I need to take my truck in cause I got exhaust smell in the cab. So I asked about them having a torque wrench that went to 405 ft/lbs. They said they didn't they just put a big breaker bar with a jack handle on the end and get it as tight as they can. Kind of disappointing that they don't have a torque wrench that goes that high. You'd think they would since that is the torque that Ford calls for. Just a thought.
