you already established there is something wrong with the tranny because it is over heating, now you have 2 problems, I wonder why the dealer did not replace the tranny as a unit?, (they usualy do), Gigger, for the record I always come to a stop when shifting from rev to drive.

Yea you might have something else going on BUT I do recommend completely stopping with that auto. That way the times you do screw up and shift too early, it won't be as bad as doing it all of the time and causing an issue more quickly.

I, too, am surprised they did not replace the trans as that was the M/O at first.

Yeah you would think they would have replaced the trans but said Ford wouldnt authorize it so I had to wait 2.5 weeks for parts instead. Thew real kicker is my dealer is only 20min from KTP where they prob have thousands of trannys sitting around!!!!!

A positive thing about all this is when I called Ford Customer Care about the truck being in the shop for 4 weeks they authorized a monthly payment reimbursment which helped smoth things over.......now this!!!
