Engine ID Troubles
Hello all! Im new here, i was on a similar forum when i owned an explorer and it is pretty much the same! I recently bought an 84 F150 4x4 and i have a few questions about it.........the guy said it was a 302 and it blatantly is not haha, i matched up the stock intake with a 351W intake and found they are just about the same, so i installed it. I went to get spark plugs and the plugs that are installed are meant for a Ford 360!? So now im lost......do i have a 351w and they just put bigger plugs in to burn hotter? or do i have a 360? or do i have a 351W with 360 heads? Someone please help....i can give pics and details if needed. THank you so much

If you put a 351w intake on it, it's got to be a 351w. If you are saying the heads on the engine you have take the plugs with the larger threads, that just means you have a very early late 60's early 70's head on the engine, or the whole engine is a very early engine.
