I wish I could have made this easy and bought the plug in adapter. It seems the previous owner decided to cut all the factory plugs off and rewire the tail light wiring while tripping on acid... what a mess. About 2 rolls of electrical tape and 10 feet of lamp cord later.....
Amazingly the lights in the truck work, but I have no clue what does what? Anyone know the color coding for the wires or have a wiring diagram? I spent a lot of time searching the forums, but I didn't find anything that spells it out in small words so I could follow it... thanks for the help!!
Tail light = Brown
Right turn/stop = Orange light blue
Left turn/stop = Light green orange
Ground = Black
Reverse lights = Black Pink
Yea I agree, if the factory plug in still on the end of the main harness, the connector the tail light harness plugs into, might be better/faster/easier if you can get a tail light harness from another truck. Get rid of the lamp cording etc, then pick up a t harness for the four pin trailer plug. Makes it all nice and water tight the easy way, if not be sure and flux/solder any splice connections you gotta make back there.
