NEW HFCM QUESTION

I'm installing a new HFCM with the fuel heater deleted on an '03 F-350.
Do I need the change the wire harness also or can I just tape up the plug that goes to the heater?

If I remember correctly you just tape, insulate, it up.

I don't mind changing the harness if necessary, but would rather not if it isn't needed. I got a price from my local dealer of about $75.00 for the harness and a price from partsguyed of around $15.00 which makes me think they are quoting me on two different parts (I didn't get part numbers from either of them). What is the correct part number and would you recommend changing it?

I dont do part numbers. parts guy ed is going to be cheeper then the local dealer. Its what the store ed works for that allows him to do this. most counter guys have to sell at list or worse matrix.

For the whole HFCM the part number is PFB-93 or 6C3Z-9G282-B. For the wiring harness it is 6C3Z-9F759-A. That harness is needed on all F-Series applications from 2003 on up to and including 2005 model years. 2006 is the model year that Ford deleted the fuel heater. I recommend getting a new water separator drain plug too while you're at it. And the part number is 6E7Z-9C082-A for the **** style drain. Hope this helps.
