NEED HELP!!!

I have a 2005 F250 SD powerstroke. Around a few weeks ago I have noticed a big "BOOM" sound coming out of the rear when I press on my brakes. It doesn't always do it, and if I slowly press on the brakes it doesn't do it either. The first time it happended I thought I hit a pothole or a rock on the road. Scared the crap outta me.

I will have time this weekend to take a look at it. What do you guys think it could be? Calipers, hubs, rear end?????

Any help would be awesome!!!
