Went to about 6 places here before I found someone willing to order a couple of cases of the LV here. Its local but if it helps anyone it was Lee Auto Parts Franklin Park IL. They got it overnight and it was, surprisingly, 3.99 a qt and the guy at the counter was cool enough to give me a dealer discount which brought it to 3.60. He had recently ordered a bunch for the Leyden Township utility vehicles and was the 1st guy able/willing to find it. My dealer/friend was still pitching the SP until I showed him the bulletin. Don't know if they've switched over.
Just picked up two cases at the Dealer not to long ago. I asked him about the replacement for SP. I was told that Ford has changed their mind on LV's ability to replace SP and have now gone back to recommending the SP. Correct or not? I trust the guy and everyone can be wrong. As far as a Torque Flight transmission. Is it a four or 5 speed?
If your refering to the tourqshift transmission thats in our super duties, its actually a 6 speed but only uses 5 of the gears depending on transmissin temperature.
wow that aint bad.. I thought it was gonna be like 10 or 15 a quart
The LV is used in more ford trannies while I believe the SP is only used in the torqshift. Hence why the LV is cheaper than the SP (higher volume production).
