Mercon Sp or LV for '04' 5R110?

Went by Ford dealer today to get some auto. trans. fluid to finish my trans. fluid and filter change. The parts guy said the Mercon 'LV' will work fine for my trans. When I asked "Will the two, SP & LV mix okay?" he hesitated and then said he thought so.
My questions 1.) Will it mix with the SP okay? 2.) Will it, the LV, work in these transmissions?
Thanks for any input here.

Yes and yes. They are compatible and both recommended by Ford. I have used both including mixing them and have had zero issues. I tow a 31' fifth wheel in the Eastern Sierras and the tranny doesn't miss a beat and has never gotten over 185 degrees in the mts.

I agree but would add-use the original, higher price SP if the prices doesn't scare you off . I forget if it's because it's a synthetic or made from new base stock but there were a few threads on the subject a while back and I made a mental note (weak point I know, lol) to stick with the SP.

point is, if ur dealership still stocks SP, stick with the SP. I think it was mark kovalsky who mentioned some stuff bout the SP and the LV. rusty is right. it should be ok to mix. personally for me, i stick with the SP and i havent had any issues so far. praise be to Jesus.

What did I mention?

You can mix SP and LV. They are compatible.
