E4OD Problem
You win, but it was more than power to the trans. One of two connectors mounted on a bracket was disconnected. I think that it carries all the Solenoid control lines. i remated it and now the trans is shifting as it should.
My E4OD is in an '83 F100 with a carburated 302 motor. I use a '91 diesel ECM to control it. I have a MAP, VSS, RPM, and TPS sensors.
It shifts fine through 4 gears, but it will not kickdown when I floor it and go to WOT. The jeep TPS that I am using only gets to 2.0 Volts at WOT. The carb is a Carter 4 barrel, and closed to wide open throttle is about 90 degrees. The Jeep TPS needs more than 90 degrees rotation for full voltage.
What should the voltage be for the 'kickdown' on an EEC-IV ECM?
