Power?

Paid more attention this morning. 12 degrees outside plugged the truck in over night started right up with almost no smoke at all. let it warm up 10 minutes then took off. drove 5 miles taking it easy letting things warm up a bit more. once to operating temp pushed it and wow power to spare never ran better before with 25 pounds of boost and then letting off. I want this power all the time tell me what is going on here. If it was just thicker oil I wouldn't think it would still have that kind of power once engine was hot or maybe I am wrong.
