Attempted break in last night!
They punched out the lock cylinder with something and managed to actually open the door. Luckily my alarm went off and scared them off, so nothing was taken. Now I have a hole in my door handle were the lock cylinder used to be. Any ideas on where I should go from here? I was thinking of completely deleting the front door handles with lock cylinders and replacing with rear door handles if possible since I have a keypad entry anyways? Is this an option for me? Wasn't there some kind of metal bracing device that a guy could install behind the door handles too?
Thanks fellas.
Riffraff Diesel: Jimmi' Jammer™

"What is the Jimmi' Jammer™ ?
A custom formed steel plate that bolts to the backside of your door handle, preventing thieves from prying into the handle seam or punching the lock cylinder into the door. In the picture above the thief pryed under the handle to get at the lock rod inside the door. Others may try to "punch" the lock into the door, breaking the handle plastic, easily and quietly gaining entry. This can be prevented!
Each Jimmi' Jammer™ kit contains:
Two plates, driver + passenger side. Two window warning labels. Complete installation instructions. Any necessary hardware."

Clay, your site has the option for crew cab trucks, but not Excursions. Can you get me a price for the Excursion (5 doors) setup?
Thanks!

They don't make a Jimmie Jammer for the rear door on the Ex's because according to them Ford mounted the lock differently and it isn't a risk like the front.

Please PM or email me a price for my extended cab F250 and my Excursion please! Both rigs have lock cylinders on the passenger door. I know that matters with the kit.
Thanks Clay.

They did no damage to my doors or my dash when removing my radio. They apparantly had removal tools, and even neatly cut the main wiring harness. They unplugged my RCA's and left the amps and the subs, and stole about $6 worth of change from my console. They gained entry by jimmieing open my sliding rear window.
The cops were in my driveway 3 minutes after calling dispatch. The officer told me that I was the fourth report in my neighborhood that he had written that morning. I talked with the officer again on Monday of this week when I went to get a copy of the report and he said that there were a total of 7 houses in my neighborhood hit that night. They were only stealing head units, and GPS'. One of my neighbors had two laptops laying on his back seat, and the thieves didnt even touch them, but they did steal his GPS unit.
Since it happened in my driveway, which by the way is very well lit, auto ins says it needs to be claimed on homeowners. Thing is, there is a $1000 deductable on my homeowners policy.
Chase, I feel your pain buddy, cause I have the same pain. Its not a pain of losing the radio, but more of a feeling of violation.
I am glad I had the alarm, and that it worked, because I foolishly had both mine and my wifes binos, my GPS, my hunting pack and gear, and a bunch of other valuables laying on the floor in the back hidden by the 6 inch lift and limo tinted windows. Estimated value of over 1700 smackers conservatively. My alarm triggers the moment the lock is unlocked, so it scared them off before they actually made entry thank goodness. It was broken into at about 7pm I assume, but it gets dark so damn early now 7pm might as well be midnight! I am going to install a decal on my window just above the doors that says PAGING ALARM SYSTEM! IF I ARRIVE, YOU DIE.
I park under my bedroom window, and have two Jack Russells that hear everything. The guns on the nightstand.....
My wifes vehicle was parked in the same place I took the picture from, which just happens to 8feet from our back door.
My firearms are also in the bedroom, and I will be installing a time delayed paging alarm system. Silently paging me so I can get the gun the moment my vehicles are messed with and get out the door, and then audible with f'ing train horns if they are still messing with it after 1 min.
I am also thinking of installing video cameras on the house to watch all activity....
Hopefully they will find those dirtbags.
Clay, if you install the plug, I assume your screwed if your keyless system decides not to work?
O/T, Brandon, how are those tires holding up?
