Block heater mod??

Looking to do the block heater mod. Which is when you mount the plug on the front bumper to eliminate the cord. Anyone have a link to the write up?? Thanks guys

I saw a thread somewhere...I remember a lot of guy's are mounting a "wet" environment plug/cover to their driver side bumper and middle trim area.
Drilled, recessed and looks nice...can't remember the brand name!
I want to find one....my plug cover collects a little rain water...not good.

HAHAHAHAH! Cut the hole got the plug to fit...Then looked for my heater cord because its a southern truck......Well....It has a plug where it should be..FML!

I got mine for 16$ at west marine today. Now i need to order a block heater lol...Anyone know where i can get one? The kind that threads in. All ive seen is the freeze plug style

Ford can get you one for about 120 bucks that is the OEM part... or the international dealer.

Really , that is the first time I have ever heard that ..

I might have the heater unit , If I do you can have it,,, then you will just need the cord ...Any wire will do then...

Mine didnt have one either Rick. I think it was an option in 97, although most trucks got them.
