You won't need an amp at all with them. They will sound great without one.

$21?

Be a lot cheaper to just snip the factory clip off and use new connectors.

yes but then if i wanted to return it back to stock i would have to rework the plug plus this way i do not have to worry about a crimped connector coming loose.

I left my connectors on and just spliced into the wire and soldered on the ends that came with my Alpines. that way if i want to return to stock i can very easily and it didn't cost me anything.

So cut the wire back a couple inches from the stock connector and save that piece in case you went back to stock. Then just splice it back. And always solder your connections. That way you won't have to worry about anything coming loose.

What MPTonyT said would work too.

Just seems like a waste of $21 for a simple fix that's all.

I suggest soldering the wire directly to the speaker. That way if you ever have to troubleshoot you have piece of mind that that is not the issue.

Got the speakers in they are a lot better then the stock ones for sure. might need to amp them though. adapters for the wires worked great had the speakers installed in 35 minutes easy. are the adapters worth it for some probably not, were they worth it to me absolutely.
