What does it take to build one of these? Do they make good pwer?

^^^It takes a fat wallet to build one too. You're looking at 5-7 grand in parts at a minimum. I know a couple guys that have built these that are in it for $10k and they did all the work themselves. Definitely an awesome motor, but too rich for my blood.

Yikes! I can build two 347 strokers for that much. I guess ill just just go mild on my 400. Already have an aluminum inake and Holley 600.

^^^Yeah...if you can work your way down to the cam and can swap that, you can easily hit 325hp without even touching the heads of a 400.

That's what I read in classic trucks magazine. And why I got those parts to begin with. Next will be the cam and headers.

^^^Yeah, the 400 isn't quite the dog most guys seem to believe it is. Keep in mind, the lowest power rating for a 400 was 210hp and the mighty 460 even had a run where 208hp was max.
