I have a question about the heater on a 1998 Taurus. Cannot find the heater core valve that controls the flow of either hot or cold water to the heater core. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Car has the 3.0 V6 engine. Or if you know of a "Taurus" club URL I would be happy to use that also.
Thanks

I believe the valve is under the dash by the heater core though.
on edit I don't think there is a valve so to speak but there is a blend door which controls the temp which is controlled by vacum . which is determined by the temp control **** in the dash

but that website says it will be down starting March 1, 2003. Great timing!
Actually the question is for a friend at work, who is driving around without heat.
Thanks Rich!
My '91 Taurus had no heat either and it turned out to be the thermostat, which had one of the metal 'arms' holding the spring completely broken in two so it could never close.
Does the car register normal on the temp gauge?
