I'm jealous, we were supposed to get some tomorrow, but it got pushed back to Friday. I've been wanting to get up there and play with my truck in the snow since I bought it in the spring.
fiddy im jealous!! cant wait, we have three days of "predicted" snow in the forecast. should be getting down to the low 20's on my mountain too. Time to get a white bottle of diesel kleen and some road salt haha
haha yeah i want to get one but here it isnt a money maker unless you get lucky with a lot of snow. It snowed up at my property in 08 so much that they people were snowed in for 8 days hahaha. How cool would that be to have a rig clearing out the road for those stranded!! mucho dinero!! haha
It's a winter wonderland here! Wouldn't be bad if the kalifornians that have moved up here would just STAY HOME! banghead
No offense ment to the guys on here.. oreo.. joe and the rest but these idiots move up here from LA or the bay area after living in the sun 2/3 of there life and the first snow that falls their little honda is in the ditch or causing a pile up.
Nah, its not just kalifooohwanians. I see that happen up here too. Makes for much safer roads by the time I come along......all the dumb drivers are in the ditch wondering why the electronic traction control didn't save them while the cruise control was set. "try tapping the brakes!!!!" "sure, you do that and see what happens LMAO!!!"
Modern automotive engineering = dumber drivers getting more over confident.
08 was an awesome year for snow on the island. At least I think it was that year. Some parts got over 5 feet and it was so bad the main highway could not be cleared completely for weeks. People still drove it because it settled down to a hard packed mixture of snow, ice and sand. I did ok, but on some of the hills I couldn't quite hold the speed limit of 67 MPH because the back end would kick out heehee. I wasn't running snow tires either.
i had to laugh when we arrived and saw all the vehicles on the side of the road here in victoria. friggin artards would just abandon their vehicle on the patbay highway and the one. WTF? hahaha

You guys got me to finally get the snow plow mounted back on my rig. Almost done - just have to hook up the solenoid ground wire and then throw the plow on to adjust the control cables. No talk of snow yet at the moment around here but it's time to expect it at any moment. Gotta get my IP timed too - make for easier starting. New pump from pensacola and it had 2 timing marks on it. One was 3/4 ground off so I figured the intact mark would be the static mark, but it's about 1/8" to 1/4" advanced of the first mark. Seems quite advanced if you ask me based on how it sounds. Tinker tinker tinker..

YUP! I saw lots of that too!
Highway 19 roughly around qualicum was full of cars like that. And you have to also remember that with about 1.5 meters that fell in some places, there is no way you are going to get those cars out for several days if you are lucky. What was funny is a lot of folks threw in the towel and pulled over thinking they could wait it out. oops, bad call.
