brake light problems

hey got a question to pose any of you with the old slick fords have problems with the conections at the brake switch getting covered in crud so they dont work i did not have this problem until i let the truck sit in portland for two months now i cant keep them from messing up any ideas on what i can to to stop this problem thanks

I never had that type of problem; I have had grounds fail to make good contact, I also recommend cleaning all your connections and then use electrical grease to help seal them. Also check the contacts of the fuse at the fuse panel. They attend to get loose over time as well. Do your blinkers (Turn signals) still work?
If so then its not a fuse issue!
