I`m interested in joining the caravan to and festivities at frostbite in feb. Can`t find any info on it yet on the Ks rocks website tho. Who`s wanting to go if it happens?
I go every year-- its the 3rd weekend in February, I think. We generally go up on the friday before-- stay in the hotel- hit breakfast at the hotel then wheel all day-- hit the mexican place-- (you get a special dessert if you tell them it is your birthday), then after an awsome breakfast at this cafe place in the am- head for home. a Flyer is normally up first part of the year.
You can get your own room, or buddy up with someone from our group, I think Del was wanting to go some time, he mentioned it this last year anyhow, maybe this year will be the one?
We go down Friday after work, or take off early on Friday and drive down, because getting up early and going down there sucks.. Ask me how I know. Its 4 hours from Manhattan, and I got up early and left one day.. by the time dinner came around, I was really just way too tired to enjoy it.
We stay Satruday night as well. breakfast in the morning, then homeward bound and even though you are ready to go home, you aren't ready to leave.
Remeber the year som Unamed people stunk up the whole hallway!
The year the transformer blew up, and we where without power?
The year we carpooled in hoss and I mad a timely deposit in the town of GAS!
OH and if you tell them it is your birthday at the mexicn resturaunt you get a free dessert.
well, you aren't going there for the hotel experience, and its not as bad as the ratings it gives, just don't eat there and you should be fine. Last year the cockroaches were friendly, they helped carry in our luggage, and the toilets flushed on their own, but only every third hour. Have you had your tetnis shots? Rabies shots?
