here is my situation, our families expedition has around 80,000 miles on it. and it has been broke down and sitting for a year. also my dad said nothing has been done to it aside from oil changes.
i am getting it up and running, and plan on driving it this winter, and it will be a daily driver, even after winter is over.
what maintenance should be done to it? Im already planning on the usual oil change, check tires, and check the brakes. what else should be done?
obviously it would probably be best to change every fluid in the car, but what is the most important? and what could i do myself, or what is affordable to have done?
if it makes a difference it is a 2002 expedition, eddie bauer AWD, 5.4 liter
Change the oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and air filter. That should do it for now while not breaking the bank. Then drive it for a while and see if any issues pop up.
had to switch the fuel pump and filter, now have to swap the air suspension out.
fuel pump went bad while the vehicle was sitting unused for a year. the air suspension is why we parked it and forgot about it.
