4.2liter p0171 and p0174 codes fixed
I was getting these codes for 9 mos.on my 2001 4.2liter f-150 and checked everything from vacuum lines to changing the maf sensor etc. i did not change the 02 sensors because I thought it would be highly unlikely that both sides would go bad. I stumbled on a site where the guy said to change the isolator bolts in the intake along with new gaskets. It worked and the codes are gone and it passed inspection
