I was wondering if anyone knows the paint code for the grill. The colour that I can still see is kind of a biege. I've been painting with dupont paint and would like to stick to their paint codes. So if anyone knows what it might be or where I can find it that would help me out so much.

Might help to know what year truck? Also, you might try researching via the Internet onto DuPont paints and see if they have a registry of paint codes by year/application. Probably a tougher route to go than getting a direct response from this forum, but if all else fails.... (well, you know...).

If you're looking for paint codes you might want to try autocolor.com . They have a very extensive collection of paint chips for all makes and models right back to the thirtys.

In '53 and '54 the grilles were Sungate Ivory. In '55 and '56 the grilles were either Snowshoe White or Colonial White (if there is a difference) For my '54 I bought a pair of painted parking light assemblies and matched it from them.
