Been surfing this forum for a month or two now and found a lot of valuable information and guidance.
Have to say its been killing me waiting so long to get a new truck - but for one reason or another I had to wait.
So now my order is in and I have to wait about 8 weeks for my:
F350 Crew Cab, 8' Bed, 4x4, 6.7 Powerstroke
355 Electronic Locking axle
Heavy Duty suspension
Lariat
Tri-coat white (wife required color to match our 5er)
Chrome package
20" wheels
5th wheel hitch prep and hitch
Factory spray on bedliner
Lariat Ultimate Package
Aux Cab Heater
Rear window defrost.
Garage door opener
Will trade in my 2008 F350 CC, LB, V10 Lariat - been a great truck - but 6-7mpg towing my 5er really limits my range on one tank. Hoping to get better with the diesel.
Christmas can't come soon enough!
Thanks to you all!
Chris
Congratulations and good luck. Just be careful that you have the proper 5th wheel hitch. Not all hitches work with the Ford prep package. I had to cancel my 5th wheel prep when I found out i could not use my Reese 16k kwikslide hitch with Ford's setup. The hitch From ford is almost $1600.
I have ordered the 5th wheel hitch from Ford to come with the truck. I was not going to as $1695 seemed way too steep just for a 5th wheel hitch. But as I am going to get X-plan pricing this brings the hitch down to $1400. When I searched online I could only find the Reese Elite at around $1400 so I thought I might as well just include it.
I could not find the Signature hitches around anymore - as I had read on the forum that it was a cheaper way to go (with the adapter kit for the feet).
I have a 16K hitch right now with bed rails - but will try and sell it on Craigslist.
