BTS TRANNIES

Say, does anyone in the Chattanooga, TN, Knoxville, TN or Middle TN area own a truck with the BTS tranny in it?
I would be very interested in taking a ride in it to see the difference.

Thanks

Honestly, I didn't notice much of a difference. Just when I hammered on it, it handled the power...

Shifting is all taken care of by tuning and each tuner is different.

The difference is the shifts and tc lockup doesn't feel sloppy like a stock trans just a real firm smooth shift not a neck snapping shift like others out there although im sure he could change things and build you one like that if you want. Like was said before tuning also plays a role. You would love the bts if you get one. Its nice knowing theres people like brian who stand behind their products especially as big of a purchase as a tranny

Hey lhud, you can come up to Lebanon and help me install my new OEM HD Tranny. I will let you drive it when we finish

Brian (BTS)told me that there are "a thousand different ways to adjust a transmission". The question is 'how do you want it to feel/shift'? He can change your shift points, have 'hard' shifts or 'soft' shifts. Everything is nice and 'tight'. No 'lag' when you drop it into "D".... it is taking off down the road unless you are holding it back with the brake. It will get going by itself to 5-10 mph without touching the 'gas' pedal. I think each truck may have a little different 'feel' by what tunes or chip is installed. One thing that I now feel with confidence is that my BTS tranny is the strongest link in the drive tran instead of the original 'weak' (link) tranny.

My tranny was in pretty good shape when I pulled it. I bought the truck used with 40k, and for all I knew there could have been a mild build on the tranny, highly unlikely, but a possiblitly. I didn't wait till it was limping along... LOL. Had a banks transcommand and a superchip... LOL It didn't shift that great...LOL

That was the biggest difference I saw. Going from the superchip to BTS tuning was awesome!!! I can not believe how well and how fast it shifts going down the dragstrip..LOL
