V10 Replacement

Are they doing away with the V10 now that they came out with the new 6.4 litre engine? They say it puts out as much HP & Torque as the V10 does?

Yes, in the pickups this year, but check the size. It is a 6.2L

Im stillmhoping that they make a bigger 8 or 10 out of the 6.2. I seen they can bore t to 7 liters on the 8 or that would make about
An 8-8.8 v10!

No. The V10 is here to stay, at least another year. It is gone in the pickups though. I have a 2011 F550 V10 on order. It is still available in the E series vans. Next year it will be sold in the F650/750 too.

I was thinking that it would be available in the big trucks and motorhomes, so why not make it an option for the superduty as well? I love my V10 with 4:30 gears, it pulls as well as any diesel I have owned and I have had them all Cumming ,Duramax, Powerstroke everyone gave me trouble and stranded me one time or another !!! I'm done with diesels not to mention the added exspence.

Before you lament the loss of the V-10, test drive a 6.2L V-8.

I own a 2008 superduty now so I dont think I will be replacing it any time soon, but I would really like to test drive the 6.2. Have you driven it yet?

If they make the 6.2l into a 8.8L V10, I will be the first in line.

...this is a big IF it actually were to happen... but if it does, you're going to have to fight me for first in line.
