Turbo ****

Well since I didn't get you guys the video you wanted (still working on it) I thought I'd show you some pictures

First is without the air filter just so you can see it all, and let me tell you that silver pipe connecting the turbo to the air intake was NOT an easy fit, ended up cutting out half the AC bracket.

And now with the air filter.....

The air filer comes REALLY close to hitting the hood.

I was just gonna use a cone filter, and PVC pipe, but to do that I would have to take out my AC and move a few other things just to have enough room for it.

So I just put the old intake back on, and I think it will really work better than a cone filter, keep some of the heat out of the air.

I'm still gonna hook a 4" pipe to the end of the air filter, and run it down to the air inlet by the rad.

bud, your gonna have problems with that ducting. as soon as your air cleaner gets a bit restricted or you hit the high rpm's its gonna suck that tube closed. kragen has plastic flex hose that will do the same job but wont collapse on you.

It's rigid HVAC ducting, not dryer vent, just in case you thought it was dryer vent.

ya i know. ive never seen one before you threw the pic up of yours. ive been looking into getting a cast iron manifold built but dont see that happening. im told a turbo header would never last so not sure what i should do

i don't see why you couldn't use a header run into a turbo on each side.

I think you could make headers for each side, the only thing that would be hard is finding the space, pipe headers would take up alot of space unlike cast iron manifolds.

Plus on the pass side you'd have to take out that black box, and probably have to trim the plastic fender.

And on the drivers side you have to deal with the steering column.

to make headers it would take very strong stainless steel. between the heat and the pressure the diesel throws out you cant use standard ss or carbon steel tubing.

The intake hat and air intake are the only two things that match the ray jay setup.

The manifold, turbo, and down pipe are totally different.
