2003 headlight conversion kit
Does anyone know anything about conversion kits for the headlights of the 2003 F250? I have these sealed beam headlights atm and they suck. When one burned out I went to the local NAPA to pick up a new one and acording to the guy behind the desk in 2003 there were 2 styles of headlights for that truck. The sealed beam that I have and (I'm not sure what ford calls them but on my old chev they called them composite) the type were you can just replace the little bulb rather than the whole thing. I asked him if they were interchangeable, thinking maybe I could replace the whole unit, but he didn't know and I wasn't about to get it ordered in an be stuck with assemblies i dont need. So back to my original question. Is there a conversion kit out there? Or could i just swap the whole assembly out to the newer style?

Boy, I only wish my '99 had the old fashioned GLASS sealed beams (XL trim level) I would have had the surrounds chromed and found the brightest ones on the market and been satisfied, but mine is an XLT so I was able to swap to the '02-'04 headlights, basicly a plug and play.....I would think you might need more than just the lights themselves to do a swap like this being as yours is an XL I assume....
