I am tired of these dealers not handling business the right way. We buy our 30 - 50,000 dollar trucks and you would think they would be a little more helpful instead of trying to lose customers like 2 ford dealers i went to already has. I found a good one though but its about 150 miles away, its well worth the drive for there service. I cant wait for the day when they start using composite materials that are strong and wont bend or rust. Cant wait.
Well I had my truck acid washed at the dealer last Thurs, was to have the Dura shine put on this week and the truck looked great.
Guess what their back now I get to fight for a paint job, In only a week about 1/3 of the truck has them, I talked to the lady that did the wash and she stated that I was going to have trouble with them coming back and to start fighting for a paint job as most of the spots were deep pits and thru the clear coat & surface paint
.""" Service manager was shocked that this had happened and will do some research on what to do next""" I wonder what color the sky is in his world? The color of my sky has new paint job written all over it.
I am calling Customer Service today about this and will let you know what's going on.
I just bought a 2002 F-150 SuperCab FX4. It is white in color, has a Canada truck sticker where the spec sticker on the door post is, and has a serial # that starts with 2. I noticed today it had a little rust bubble on the front lip of the hood, so I started inspecting it a little closer. There is also rust forming on all of the door hinges, down the stake pockets of the bed, the tailgate hinges and along the seam under the lip at the front edge of the hood. I just got it Saturday and am thinking of returning it to them Monday. The truck only has 30k miles on it and the price is great, but I plan to keep it for at least 4 years and dont want a truck that is rusted through before I can get rid of it. What should I do. Eric
noticed mine last year. actually black spots first then eat through paint and either bubbles it or rust. dealer repainted rear quarter on mine where it bubbled and i now check and keep lots of wax on it. mine is white and also a canada truck
I spoke with the guy who sold it to me tonight, a buddy of mine, and he said to bring it in tommorow and they would take a look at it and see what they would want to do after that. Its a shame, it is such a pretty truck. Luckily its a certified pre owned so I get the 5 year 75k warranty, and it has 31k and some change. I will keep you posted.
I had blisters on the box above the drivers rear wheel.Went to the dealer body shop they said it had to be looked at by a factory rep. Finally on third trip to dealer they said they would replace bedside. While truck was at dealer found one little bubble on other bedside.Long story short got my truck back sat. night after 33 days with 2 new bedsides. Back end looks like new. NO CHARGE,THANX FORD!!
