I'm getting ready for the same. Been researching DPs for at least a year. My decision: Diamond Eye 3". Resaon: It connects to stock cat, which I've gutted. I'd rather have no cat but I'm gonna at least keep the hollow body because I've heard that people are beginning to have trouble without them. My final product: 3" DP->cat->5" straight.

The Diamond Eye is pretty low on the spectrum as far as price and I've not heard much complaint about ease of installation. MBRP is cheap as well but there are a lot of guys reporting difficult installs and poor workmanship. DZL JIM uses all Grand Rock pipe. It's more expensive but American made and good quality. If you look to names like Banks and such you can expect the price to go up.

You can get a Diamond Eye to your door for $100 or less depending on who you buy from. Clay @ Riffraff sells them. for like $80. Not sure about shipping.

^^^^^ what he said. diamond eye makes awesome down pipes and have herd great things. However i used MBRP with my new and old truck. Just becuase a local dealer can get them and i took my cat off. BUT! MBRP's fit and finish is AWFUL! They dont even clean them out before shipping.

I went with Tymar. I got a 3"-4" dp. Ive heard rumors that the Tymar downpipe is actually a diamond eye. Don't know for sure. But the fit is perfect and quality is superb.

Pulled trigger on a Riff-Raff 3" Diamond Eye...
Going to TRY to gut the cat and keep the shell of it's former self, and run straight from there works....

I have the Diamond Eye 3" and it fits well and was pretty easy to install.

Once I get an extra $300 I'll probably be putting in the Diamond Eye 5" cat-back exhaust. Not really happy with my home-made 4" exiting in front of the rear wheel.
