Hello everyone. I'm new here to this forum and thought I'd let myself be known. My name's Robert, and I'm in Racine Wisconsin. I'm 32 and have never owned a Ford truck before in my life but I just recently had one pretty much fall into my lap. It's an 85 F150 with a 4.9 inline 6. It's in rough shape but so is my daily driver and parts seem to be much cheaper for this truck than my car. Not to mention, I think it's about time I get myself a truck. My grandfather has owned trucks all his life and most of them Ford. If he found comfort with them I should be able to as well. Not to mention a truck would be handy to tow my car to the local drag strip. More like tow it back when it breaks down, LOL either way I guess.
Well, hope everyone is doing well, and I'm sure I'll get to know some of you more as time goes on.
Hello Robert, welcome to FTE and the Ford truck world! There`s plenty of of good folks here to help in keeping your Ford alive.
Swing by your local Wisconsin Chapter and post an intro in there too: Wisconsin Chapter - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
welcome to the forum and do what morris said. i forget who the chapter leader is but he's a good guy. even our bs threads are good for info! and have fun.
Awesome, I did just as you two said and posted a little blip in the Wisconsin Chapter.
I also posted about the F150 I have and the troubles I'm having with it to see if I can get this truck running again. It's kinda crazy. I'm knowledgeable when it comes to automobiles. I'm not an ASE Cert. Mechanic but I know more than the average person and this this is trowing me for a bit of a loop. Thank you for welcoming me. I was starting to feel like no one even noticed I posted in here.
