I have a 63 half ton. To the right of the steering wheel there are three ***** on the dash. The one to the furthest right is the fan switch, to the left of that is the manual choke ****, then to the left of that I have a blank hole in the dash where there obviously was once a ****. To the left of the steering wheel there are three more *****; the cigarette lighter, the headlight switch, and the wiper switch. I can not figure out which **** I may be missing, or what **** was originally in the blank hole. Anyone know??
Hi. I have a 63 F100 (not unibody). In my truck the missing **** you ask about is the windshield washer button. That was added to my truck as part of a kit. Not sure what was there if anything. I saw a 64 F100 and it had a chrome blank in that spot.

The spare hole right of the column is for larger trucks that had a throttle cable to speed engine up when using the PTO. On the F100-F250's, this hole had a chrome plug in it.
The missing **** is the TEMP control. It is connected to the temp control valve by a cable and controls the heater temp. Post back if you need more details. Rich.
I think the switch that your'e missing is probally the 4-way flasher switch, My 66 has 3 switches to the right of the colunm, 4-way, choke, and fan motor. The fan switch has the temp control in it. For hot air, pull it out, your want to adjust the amount of hot air you simply push the **** in. That's why I think your'e missing your 4-way switch...
Coonhound, I forgot to add, that if to the left of the missing ****, if you have a chrome cap covering another small hole, this is where your flasher indicator goes, if you don't have this cap, or another opening in the dash, well, I'd have to agree with the rest of the gang it's probally where a throttle cable was at one time...
My 65 F100 has the same hole. I used a crome plug I got at the hardware store to fill up the thing ,but like you figured it was an oppition My f100 did not have.
