I cannot find a distributor cap for my 66 352! All the ones I have looked at have the #1 plug wire to the right (3 holes over) as compared to the one on the engine now. Truck runs ok on the old one, just want to replace the old cap!
Any ideas? Has my distributor been change?
Well, one you could always get a generic since where #1 is really only matters to you. As for Motorcraft I have the same cap, DH-6, on my 289, 302, 360 and 410 as I believe the V8 caps were the same for a long time after 1965 in the small blocks and FE engines.

Thats what I thought, just wondering why is was marked with #1.

I see rockauto lists different cap for a 1970 FE vs 1976 FE although they are both what I call "old" small caps with female terminals.
I don't remember what the difference is??
